Registered Nurses and Midwives are Tier 1 priority on Australia's CSOL, with the lowest points cutoffs in 2026 and direct eligibility for Subclass 482, 186, and 189 across all states.
Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Mining Engineers remain on the CSOL, driven by Australia's infrastructure, renewable energy, and resources pipelines.
Software Developers, ICT Business Analysts, and Cyber Security Specialists are on the CSOL, with 482 Core Skills and Specialist Skills streams both available.
Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, and Welders carry Tier 1 priority status in 2026 due to acute construction shortages, with the lowest points requirements across the skilled migration program.
Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Pharmacists, and Occupational Therapists face strong demand in regional and rural Australia, with AHPRA registration opening 482 and 190 pathways.
Accountants remain on the CSOL but are Tier 4; state nomination (190) and the 491 regional pathway are the most viable routes for accounting graduates in 2026.
Secondary STEM teachers, Early Childhood Teachers, and Special Education Teachers are on state nomination lists in every Australian state and territory, with AITSL skills assessment required.
Construction Project Managers and Site Managers are high-demand across NSW, VIC, QLD, and WA due to Australia's sustained housing and infrastructure pipeline.

The Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement was replaced by the Genuine Student (GS) requirement on 23 March 2024. Instead of a 300-word statement, you now answer targeted questions about your circumstances, why you chose your course, and the benefit of studying in Australia. Refusals still cite weak course alignment and unclear intent as common reasons. We build the GS response around your specific profile.
